signals #1
“signals“と題した本展は、これまでHENKYOで断続的に行ってきた実験的なグループ展を基盤とし、
完成された動向や評価を提示するのではなく、
変化の途中にある表現や、次の展開へ向かう兆候としての実践に注目する。
あるいは未定義の衝動は、同時代の表現におけるひとつの“signal”として空間に立ち現れる。

HENKYO is pleased to present signals #1, a group exhibition featuring works by Takumi Kurosawa, Emika Tsunoda, and Saki Maruyama, opening on June 13, 2026.
Building on a series of experimental group exhibitions that HENKYO has presented intermittently, signals is conceived as an ongoing platform for observing artistic practices in flux. Rather than presenting established tendencies or fixed critical evaluations, the exhibition focuses on expressions in transition and artistic gestures that point toward future developments.
While the participating artists share neither a common methodology nor thematic framework, the sensibilities, perspectives, and unresolved impulses embedded within their respective practices emerge collectively as a set of contemporary “signals.” Situated in dialogue with one another, the works offer a snapshot of artistic positions that remain open-ended, provisional, and actively evolving.
As the inaugural installment of the series, signals #1 seeks to document the artists’ current trajectories while creating a framework through which their ongoing transformations may be observed over time.
We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition.
