この度HENKYOでは新たに所属作家としてペインターの小森紀綱(Akitsuna Komori)を迎える運びとなりました。

1997年生まれ。諸宗教の宗教的対象や古典絵画のアトリビュート(特定の人物や神々に帰属する対象物)を”シミュレーショニズム”という絵画系譜の中で引用することで形而上学的絵画を制作している。
小森の絵画制作は図像解釈や理論構成、宗教倫理などエピステーメから出発しており、絵画の骨組みとなる要素を複雑に張り巡らせ、時にはちぐはぐに入れ替えることでコードを集積させて超現実的な絵画を構築している。
異なる宗教や様式をコラージュするように織り交ぜることで事物に内在していた共通項や相違が紡ぎ出されている。

HENKYO is pleased to announce the representation of painter Akitsuna Komori.

Born in 1997.

Komori’s metaphysical paintings reference religious objects within the pictorial lineage of simulationism, particularly objects attributed to specific figures or gods within classical paintings. Komori’s paintings take as their departure point the epistemes of the interpretation of iconography, theoretical frameworks, and religious ethics. Dispersing and interchanging the fundamental elements of his paintings into a complex, disjointed accumulation of “codes”, his works depict strange, surrealistic scenes. By interweaving different religions and styles into a single collage, he creates a visual tapestry of their inherent commonalities and differences.
